CiviCRM gap filled — johncallhub/civicrm-mcp-server (11 tools) serves the 14K+ organizations on the leading open-source nonprofit CRM. Civic open data exploded — us-gov-open-data-mcp (94 stars, 300+ tools across 40+ federal APIs), mcp-civic-data (110 tools, 33 APIs), and GovInfo (official US GPO) bring massive government data access. Blackbaud launched its first autonomous fundraising AI agent (“Development Agent”) and Salesforce rebranded to “Agentforce Nonprofit” with four AI agents. Anthropic’s “Claude for Nonprofits” still drives commercial integrations with 75% discounts. NationBuilder MCP was deleted.

NationBuilder MCP (removed)
The previously listed mikeomlor/nb-mcp NationBuilder MCP server has been deleted — the repository no longer exists and the author has no public repos. NationBuilder remains accessible via Pipedream and Zapier MCP wrappers, but there is no longer a standalone open-source NationBuilder MCP server.

What’s Missing
The nonprofit MCP space has narrowed its gaps but several remain:
- Grant writing & application management — grant discovery is now covered (grants-mcp, Granted AI), but no server helps with grant writing, application tracking, or compliance reporting
- DonorPerfect / Bloomerang — two major nonprofit CRMs still have no MCP integration of any kind

Civic open data exploded with us-gov-open-data-mcp’s 300+ tools across 40+ federal APIs and GovInfo’s official GPO MCP. CiviCRM finally has a dedicated MCP server (11 tools) serving 14K+ organizations. Blackbaud launched “Development Agent” — the first fully autonomous fundraising AI agent. Salesforce rebranded to “Agentforce Nonprofit” with 4 purpose-built AI agents. The Claude connector directory grew to 200+ integrations.
What doesn’t: No grant writing assistance exists (only discovery). DonorPerfect and Bloomerang remain unconnected. Volunteer scheduling has no dedicated MCP server (though Salesforce’s Volunteer Agent is GA early 2026). Open-source impact measurement is still absent. charity-mcp-server appears abandoned (2 stars, no commits since Jan 2025), and NationBuilder MCP was deleted. Industry-wide, 92% of nonprofits use AI but only 7% report major impact — an “efficiency plateau” that better tooling could address.
