Claude for Small Business runs inside Claude Cowork — Anthropic’s agentic interface that lets non-technical workers give Claude access to their tools and applications. Unlike Claude Code (which targets developers via a terminal interface), Cowork provides a graphical interface: users toggle on their connected platforms, select a task, and Claude executes the workflow — pausing for human sign-off before anything leaves the system.

DocuSign — Document routing, signature status, contract tracking, and renewal monitoring. Given DocuSign’s near-universal presence in small business contracting, this connector adds practical value even for businesses that don’t use other platforms in the launch.
Google Workspace — Email (Gmail), calendar (Google Calendar), and documents (Drive). Claude reads scheduling data, drafts emails, and retrieves documents as part of multi-step workflows.
Microsoft 365 — Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Office apps. The connector mirrors the Google Workspace integration for businesses on the Microsoft stack.
Slack — Internal communication and workflow notifications. Claude uses Slack as a review channel — routing draft content, alerts, and approval requests to the owner’s existing Slack workspace.

Pricing
Claude for Small Business ships at no additional cost for existing Claude subscribers on Pro, Max, or Teams plans. There is no add-on fee, no per-workflow charge, and no additional connector licensing. The Claude Cowork interface where the workflows run is included in those existing subscriptions.
This pricing structure is a deliberate decision. Small businesses are price-sensitive in ways that enterprise buyers are not, and Anthropic is treating the initial rollout as user acquisition — building the workflows into plans people already pay for rather than requiring an additional purchase decision.
AI Fluency for Small Business
Alongside the product launch, Anthropic released a free on-demand course: AI Fluency for Small Business, co-developed with PayPal and taught by real small business owners who have already integrated AI into their operations.

What This Launch Means
Claude for Small Business is the clearest signal yet that Anthropic is not positioning Claude as an enterprise-only product. The pricing (no extra cost), the distribution (in-person workshops in Tulsa and Baton Rouge), the training partners (real business owners rather than consulting firms), and the workflow design (payroll, invoicing, cash flow — not strategy frameworks) all point at a genuine SMB push.
Three things stand out:
The connector list targets the actual SMB stack. Square, Stripe, and Webflow are not enterprise tools — they’re the platforms small businesses chose when they needed something that worked without an IT department. Connecting Claude to these platforms meets SMBs where they already are rather than requiring a platform migration.
The sign-off architecture respects how small business owners think about their money. Claude preparing a payroll but not processing it until the owner confirms is the right model for a context where the owner is personally liable for payroll errors. This isn’t a limitation — it’s the appropriate trust architecture for the segment.
The nationwide workshop tour is unusual. Most AI companies distribute through developer communities and enterprise sales. Anthropic is distributing through half-day events in mid-size cities. Whether this produces meaningful adoption at scale remains to be seen, but the method reflects a genuine understanding of how small business owners make purchasing decisions — through trusted, in-person community exposure rather than self-serve trial.
For small businesses already using Claude for ad hoc tasks, the launch converts those informal workflows into structured, repeatable processes that connect to the tools they’re already paying for.
